Twentieth Annual Charity Baseball Game: Strong Publicity for Stronger Causes

After a record breaking game the year prior, The CFD Bravest vs. CPD Finest Charity Baseball Game, honoring the Gold Badge Society of Chicago and the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation once again turned to Mekky Media to promote the 20th annual Bravest vs. Finest baseball game in addition to coordinating with several major local outlets in and around the city of Chicago.


In just a short amount of time, Mekky Media was able to secure live segments on major Chicago outlets WGN, The Mancow Morning Show on WLS-AM and ABC7’s Windy City Live the week before the game. On gameday, Mekky Media facilitated an in studio, live TV segment the with FOX 32 Chicago, in addition to providing on-site press support at Guaranteed Rate Field hours before the first pitch. To culminate a successful week of media coverage, ABC7 Eyewitness News aired the live pregame ceremony. In total, the news segments earned over 26 million earned online media impressions along with over 500,000 local viewers and listeners combined. The game itself was a huge success as well, recording its largest ever attendance! Mekky Media’s consistent efforts year after year enable this standing partnership to continue to grow.
