When I started my public relations agency in the summer of 2016, the leaders who advised and supported me or agreed to take the leap and become my inaugural clients were people with whom I had built close and trusting business and personal relationships over many years. This was essential because my company only existed on paper at the time. I did not yet have testimonials and success stories. But what I did have was even more important: my name and the trust and connections I had thoughtfully established through years of networking and relationship building.
