Ellie is a Communications & Business Development Executive on the Mekky Team, and creates written content for Mekky Media and its clients, including press releases, blogs, newsletters and more. Alongside general account support, Ellie supports new business initiatives, media training sessions and media monitoring. 

 

Prior to joining Mekky Media full time, Ellie interned with Mekky through Northwestern University’s Journalism Residency program, where she discovered her passion for storytelling and PR. Ellie graduated from Northwestern in 2021 with a B.S. in Journalism, minors in Psychology and Spanish, and a certificate in Integrated Marketing Communications. During her time at Northwestern, Ellie interned in a number of communications and marketing roles, and worked for three years at the Northwestern Office of Athletic Communications, where she published articles, managed team social media accounts and announced live sporting events for BigTen athletics. She also spent five months abroad in Santiago, Chile, where she studied Chilean journalism and history at a local university. 

 

When she’s not working, Ellie loves exploring outdoors, whether it’s hiking, snowboarding or water skiing, rewatching seasons of Survivor and spending time with family and friends.
