Restaurant Openings, Media Relations, Influencer Outreach



Francesca’s Restaurant Group (FRG) enlisted Mekky Media to execute a six-month strategic communications campaign for its Illinois-based restaurants – Francesca’s Restaurants (18 Illinois locations), Davanti Enoteca (4 locations), Fat Rosie’s (2 locations) and Joe’s Imports (1 location) – with a primary focus of evolving communications for the FRG brand among key hospitality, lifestyle and business media, as well as introduce and communicate unique programming to reputable influencers and tastemakers in the Chicagoland area. The overall goal was to position the long-standing FRG restaurants as go-to dining destinations for all occasions, as well as open Joe’s Imports, the group’s newest restaurant and wine bar. 



By developing a phased PR strategy to maximize media and influencer outreach, Mekky media was able to secure more than 40 influencers to engage with the brand during the campaign, as well as establish ongoing partnerships with six influencers for consistent engagement beyond the six-month program. Additionally, Mekky Media secured a matrix of hyper local placements, resulting in more 3,140,000 earned media impressions.
