GiGi’s Playhouse approached Mekky Media to generate media attention, drive fundraising and sustain buzz around its continued growth.
Mekky Media secured Mario Lopez as a celebrity ambassador for the organization’s annual gala, resulting in a sold-out event and helping Gigi’s Playhouse raise more than $600K.
The team also developed messaging and story angles to position founder and CNN Hero, Nancy Gianni, as a thought leader in the non-profit space. We coordinated various stories across local and top-tier outlets, including Chicago Sun-Times, Michigan Avenue Magazine and a profile piece on A&E online, garnering more than
18 million media impressions.
