Charisse Barnachea is an account manager at Mekky Media Relations. She leads a variety of accounts and works closely with senior management to provide strategic direction and insight related to account activities.
Charisse’s ability to recommend and execute communications strategies that support client goals, combined with her positive attitude, has helped her deliver impactful results for clients across multiple industries. She has secured placements in local, regional and national outlets including The TODAY Show, FOX & Friends, Entrepreneur, USA Today, Business Insider, Chicago Tribune, Chicago magazine, and more.
She graduated from Bradley University with a B.A. in Communications (with an emphasis on Public Relations) and a minor in Family & Consumer Sciences.
Before joining Mekky Media Relations, Charisse worked at two boutique PR firms in Chicago, where she honed her skills in strategic communications, brand positioning, account management, client/influencer relations, and content creation. She also worked for Yelp, where she helped build the Chicago North Shore brand through events, business partnerships, community relations, and social media marketing.
In her free time, Charisse loves cuddling with her adorable nephews, planning her next food adventure, discussing pop culture, and listening to live music.
