Jenny Kustra-Quinn is a veteran communications and public relations professional with extensive corporate and consulting experience. She specializes in the development and execution of corporate communications, PR and social media strategies and programs for a broad range of business and non-profit clients. She is also an accomplished writer and editor, writing for magazines, newspapers and blogs, as well as providing editing and proofreading services. She has written her own nature/wildlife travel blog. Jenny works efficiently to produce quality work under deadline pressure, developing creative, strategic approaches that generate awareness and publicity across many industries.
As a Mekky Media team member, Jenny has led accounts such as Susan G. Komen Chicago, the Illinois Office of Tourism, TimeZoneOne, the Center for Enriched Living and Retro Bistro, achieving significant TV, radio, print and online media coverage. Her other clients have included Loyola University Chicago, Deloitte Tax, “Family Travel with Colleen Kelly” on PBS, Hands of Peace, Cresco Labs and School District 57. For her work with District 57, she has won two Golden Achievement Awards and an Award of Merit from the National School Public Relations Association. Prior to consulting, Jenny worked in communications and public relations for Tribune Company, the Chicago Tribune and Sears Roebuck and Co.
Jenny holds a B.A. in Journalism and Political Science, with a Spanish minor, from Indiana University. She is the proud mom of three boys and an active volunteer for her local Parent Teacher Organization, as well as a religious education teacher. She is a volunteer and activist with several animal organizations, including Mane in Heaven Miniature Therapy Horses. She has done pro bono PR work for non-profit clients such as Lemons of Love and Got 2 Run…for Education.
