Maribel joined Mekky Media as an Agency Coordinator. On a normal workday, she oversees daily agency activities, develops written content, coordinates client scheduling, and supports internal marketing and business development initiatives for the agency.
Maribel earned her B.A. in Rhetoric with a minor in Cinema Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. During her time on campus, she served as an Editor for a local journal and contributed as an Event Organizer and Panel Speaker for a student-run film festival. Prior to joining Mekky Media Relations, Maribel gained valuable experience at two architectural firms in Chicago, a gourmet popcorn company and a furniture company. In these roles, she honed her skills in event planning, coordination, social media and team support, helping these organizations thrive.
Outside of the Mekky office, Maribel loves summer cookouts with her family, playing video games with friends, exploring the arts scene in Chicago, and taking a lot of pictures of her pets.
