To celebrate 50 years of Chicago Comic Cons and carry on Wizard World Chicago’s legacy under the FAN EXPO brand, Mekky Media was brought in to support FAN EXPO Chicago 2022. Over a 90-day engagement, Mekky developed and executed a strategic promotion plan, working closely with FAN EXPO’s marketing team to spotlight guests and activations, secure media coverage and boost event visibility.
Mekky coordinated interviews with celebrity guests and local media, activated influencer partnerships and connected FAN EXPO with local marketing and event opportunities. During the show, they secured on-site media with major Chicago networks like WGN, NBC, Fox and ABC, resulting in over 20 TV hits and 160 million media impressions.
