Chicago Scholars, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting first-generation and under-resourced students through a 7-year college access and success program, partnered with Mekky Media in 2018 to raise awareness for its impactful work. Mekky Media kicked off the partnership with a highly effective 11th-hour campaign for the Onsite College & Leadership Forum, a pivotal event providing students with direct interviews and on-the-spot merit aid offers from selective universities. This focused four-day campaign yielded a 6.1 million earned media impressions, demonstrating the team’s capacity to deliver impactful, rapid results. Recognizing this initial success, Chicago Scholars continued working with Mekky Media for ongoing media relations support. Mekky Media has generated more than 200 million earned media impressions, supporting fundraising, mentorship initiatives and national recognition, including the 2020 NBA All-Star charity recipients.
