Mekky Media worked directly with the marketing team at FAN EXPO to create a three-month promotion plan leading up to the event, working week by week to highlight various guests and activations for continuous exposure. Mekky Media coordinated with celebrity guests and the FAN EXPO leadership to secure interviews leading up to the event with a variety of local and trade publications to drive attendance to the show and spread awareness of the FAN EXPO brand.
As local experts on the ground, Mekky Media was able to connect the national FAN EXPO team with local paid marketing opportunities, brainstorm potential events and partnerships with local companies, and work with over a dozen of Comic Con-focused influencers to conduct giveaways, drive ticket sales and cover the show on-site.
The week of the event, Mekky Media assisted in on-site and in-studio media opportunities with almost every Chicago network including WGN, NBC, Fox and ABC. In total Mekky Media secured over 20 TV hits and over 160 million media impressions in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs in a 90-day engagement.
